My Story

My name is Max Jane. I am a beginner taxidermist with a huge love for animals. I have had many animals growing up, and I’ve spent many years doing rescue work. I continue to help and save animals whenever I have the opportunity.

For 11 years, I grew up in a town where I witnessed a lot of animal abuse, which deeply impacted me. One thing that didn’t horrify me, though, was a bear taxidermy mount in a neighbor’s home that I would see every time we passed by. Years later, that memory stayed with me and helped shape the path I'm on today.

In 2022, I began attending taxidermy expos, where I was introduced to the art in a whole new way. From there, I started creating insect art and building my own collections. In 2024, I fully stepped into animal taxidermy and began developing my skills and style. After seeing so many innocent animals lost to roadkill, abuse, and neglect, I decided to devote my work to sustainability and respect. My goal is to create meaningful, affordable pieces that honor the lives of these animals. I want each one to be recognized, remembered, and appreciated…even in death.

Whether the animals come from roadkill, natural causes, ethical hunting, or frozen feed, I am committed to following all laws and practicing responsible, sustainable sourcing. Every piece I create is handled with care, with the intention of preserving the beauty and spirit of the animal.
